Guy Woolliams is a certified Product Owner with the Production feature team at SSI, a role he transitioned to in 2017 after a period of steady growth starting in 2014 as a Software Support Specialist on the Client Success team followed by a progression to Quality Assurance Analyst on the Outfitting and Hull Effectivity teams.

Guy is passionate about Marine Engineering and Software Development, having graduated from the University of British Columbia (UBC) in Vancouver, BC, Canada with a Bachelor of Science in Physics. As a Product Owner, Guy is responsible for investigating and analyzing customer and market data to identify and document areas for development, serve as the voice of the customer, and manage the product backlog by collecting, articulating, and prioritizing requirements from product stakeholders.

Guy has over 15 years of experience working for a variety of software and engineering services companies, most notably Nortel Research in Ottawa, eBay.com in Vancouver, T-Systems for Airbus in Toulouse, France, WebTech Wireless GPS Fleet management in Vancouver, and Design Maintenance Systems Inc. (DMSI) in North Vancouver.

At DMSI Guy helped spearhead the development, training, and implementation rollout of bilingual English-French preventative and predictive maintenance databases with Citrix cloud remote server data replication for the Canadian Coast Guard and Navy, as well as similar database development initiatives in the pulp and paper, forestry, mining and petrochemical industries.
